The Best Original Song race tends to be a particularly starry field at every Oscars, and the 94th Academy Awards is no exception.

This year's nominees were announced on Tuesday morning, with the five recognized tracks boasting talent such as Beyoncé, Billie Eilish, Sebastián Yatra, Van Morrison and Reba McEntire.

'Down to Joy' from 'Belfast'

Belfast-born Van Morrison was the natural choice to soundtrack Kenneth Branagh's coming-of-age drama, including this original song written and performed by the artist which is played over the opening credits. This is Van Morrison's first Oscar nomination.

'Dos Oruguitas' from 'Encanto'

"We Don't Talk About Bruno," but we can talk about another Lin-Manuel Miranda contribution, which earned him his second Oscar nomination. (Miranda was previously nominated for "How Far I'll Go" from Moana.) The song is performed by Sebastián Yatra, who also sings the English-language version played over the end credits.

'Somehow You Do' from 'Four Good Days'

Diane Warren earned her 13th Best Original Song Oscar nomination with this Reba McEntire-performed ballad. This also marks Warren's fifth consecutive nomination, with previous songs featured in Marshall (2018), RBG (2019), Breakthrough (2020) and Breakthrough (2021).

'Be Alive' from 'King Richard'

Beyoncé – or, as she is officially now known, Academy Award Nominee Beyoncé – was inspired to write this original track after seeing a screening of the Williams family biopic. She shares the nomination with co-writer, producer and fellow first-time nominee DIXSON.

'No Time to Die' from 'No Time to Die'

Billie Eilish and Finneas' "No Time To Die" is the seventh James Bond theme song to be Oscar-nominated. Should the duo win, they will be the third consecutive Bond theme to do so, after Adele's winning title track from Skyfall and Sam Smith's from Spectre.
